Colorado Speciality Velo Brings Singular Cycles Back to the US

After a brief hiatus while Singular Cycles worked to replace their existing US Distributor Colorado Speciality Velo is pleased to announce that they are now the US source for Singular Cycles.

Colorado Speciality Velo is run by longtime bike industry vet, and Fat-bike.com contributor, Jon Severson out of Colorado Springs, CO. Jon is working hard to reestablish the brand that is known for excellent build quality and some unique takes on how to make versatile bikes that handle a wide variety of conditions.

The new Puffin Fat-bike framesets landed recently and Colorado Speciality Velo will be sending them out to those who pre-ordered vis Kickstarter or their website at www.coloradospecialityvelo.com.

The Singular Puffin fat-bike is designed for all around riding…not just snow and sand. A perfect year round trail bike with super short chainstays (428mm with the Eccentric Bottom Bracket in most rearward position) and a lively feel with trail bike manners through and through.

But that’s not the only news, CSV is currently taking pre-orders for the Singular Rooster 29+ on their site. This is the first production frame of a 29+ variety outside of Surly. The frame sports a tapered head tube and a tapered steerer on the Reynold’s fork that comes with it. Round it out with a high quality triple butted tube set (rare in steel these days), a bombproof Eccentric Bottom Bracket, modular cable guides and SS/der hangar setup up and you have quite the versatile bike. Check out the Colorado Speciality Velo we site for more info on frame and fork sets, as well as an unbeatable deal on frame/fork w/Velocity Dually Comp wheels and Magura MT6 brakes. Give 29+ a try.

For those still not sold on big fat tires…. Singular Cycles have made it easier for you to give it a go one day down the road. Our recently redesigned Swift and Gryphon frames received many upgrades, but one people are loving the most is that on both a 2.4” tire on a 35mm rim fits just fine in back and up front a 3” tire on a 50mm rim will fit as well. So feel free to stick with 29…but we’re making it easy to go a wee bit bigger down the road.
